On 26th October 2009 Swan Housing Group will host dignitaries from the world of business and politics for the official launch of its new charitable arm Swan Foundation.
The Foundation shall concentrate efforts on those people living in socially and economically disadvantaged communities in (but not exclusively) Essex and East London.
The Foundation's key priority areas have been identified as:
- Education, training and employment
- Community cohesion
- Environment
- Health, well-being and sports

Guest speakers on the evening will include Lord Herman Ouseley and Baroness Sally Greengross, who is Chair and Treasurer Corporate Responsibility Group since 2001.
The House of Lords is part of the Palace of Westminster, also known as the Houses of Parliament. The site is also home to the 150 year old Clock Tower, better known as Big Ben.
